Walkin On A Dream

Outfit Details:
Blouse: Thrifted
Pins: Grandma'd
Belt: Grandma'd
Skirt: Thrifted
Midterms are not treating me well friends. Taking midterms has made me realize that when it comes down to it I have this blog as my creative outlet. When I'm stressed/need to procrastinate I love that I have my safe little place where I can write about irrelevant and non-important things going on in my life and have people that are somehow interested in what I'm doing. Thanks for being there friends. Sometimes a girl can really use a break from all of this work. What's your favorite part about having a blog? What's your biggest reward from blogging?

  2. Beautiful top and those brooches are to die for.
Being that I live with my husband, my two sons, and our two male dogs, I blog because it is nice to have a girly space that is mine. Also, it is nice to get feedback and inspiration from other bloggers.

  8. I have so much jewelry from my grandmother and it's so fun to add it to my outfits. I agree that blogging, for me, presents a creative outlet and a way to take a small break from my daily professional responsibilities. It also forces me to pay more attention to the world around me and voice my opinion. Blogging makes me an active citizen of the world!

  9. I love the brooches. Surely, they will loan you some of their awesomeness so that you can get through your tests.

I love the fact that I can blog from anywhere, even my phone, because it makes me feel connected with everyone in the blogosphere. It also gives me an opportunity to say what I want to say about what I want to say it about and nobody can stop me. It's kinda like stress relief.

I have been much more creative with my outfits since I started blogging and reading others' fashion blogs. It has really helped me step out of my comfort zone and open up to new things.

  11. Those broaches are beautiful!

My favorite part is two-fold - I love the inspiration that the blogging community at large gives me and love the outlet to take style risks and push my creative boundaries - which are sometimes a fail, but sometimes succeed.

  17. This is a gorgeous outfit, and I am so impressed that it is entirely thrifted. I recently thrifted 3 tops, a dress, and a pair of pants -- all NWT -- for $30!

For me, I think the greatest reward from blogging is being told that I have inspired someone to try something out of their comfort zone. It's a wonderful feeling1

  21. This is super cute! And I love that you have pieces from your family too! How cool! My favorite thing about my blog is having a happy place to share and enjoy things and be creative in a way that not everyone appreciates, and getting to interact with really awesome people who I would never otherwise might who share a common interest and just feeling a little saner is my reward! :)
