These Are My Recreational Clothes

Blouse: Thrifted, Skirt: Thrifted, Necklace: Grandma'd, Watch: Antique, Shoes: Kohl's, Mustachio: legit

You guys.
Hawaii was....a total dream. Like a dream within a dream within a dream. Yeah that's three Leonardo Inception levels. But more on that later...

Does anyone up in this hizzle celebrate Cinco De Mayo?
I got brown in my blood so to honor May de la five I whipped out my trustee mustaches and meandered around a few places with them.

I'd make a pretty legitimate mexican man right?!
Anyways the mustachio wasn't quit the explosion of hispanic I thought it would be so I ended up calling up Mi Papa (that's spanish for dad) and getting his recipe for mole. No you don't say it mole, you say it mo-lay, ewww who would eat anything that sounds like mole for dinner?

It looks like poop.
But it tastes like glory.
And of course in honor of Cinco de Mayo an authentic hispanic quote.
"Beneath the clothes, we find a man... and beneath the man, we find his... nucleus."

If you feel so inclinced I'd love to hear a few of your favorite Nacho Libre quotes...you know, just in honor of Cinco de Mayo, not for entertainment or something silly like that.

  1. When you are a man, sometimes you wear stretchy pants in your room. It's for fun.

  2. Ouch, okay so I grew up in Puebla, MX where original mole comes from (and the real 5 de mayo is celebrated) and it doesn't look like that at all. I don't know why 5 de mayo has turned into a big party day in the States, in MX there's just parades and honoring the flag and stuff, but here it has become this major day which everyone's starting to celebrate not knowing why. Your outfit is cute as always and the mustache was funny (but MX man don't look like that).

  4. Hola! New follower here! Glad to hear you had a great time in Hawaii, and I am DROOLING over your mole. Would your Papa kill you if you shared the recipe with us? :o)

Also: sweet outfit! I am digging how it looks like a dress from far away but then close up it is all, "SURPRISE, I am not a dress, but two different pretty clothing items."

  5. Um...we went out for pizza. No lie. Thursdays are pizza nights and the thought that it was Cinco de Mayo didn't even enter our minds. Oops.

Now I want a margarita and some chips and salsa...

How on earth do you wear all white and stay clean all day? You look stunning in white!

LOVE the lace skirt. I found it's black twin thrifting recently and we're now BFF's.

Was the mole recipe legit? I'm brown and am always looking for new brown recipes to try!

  12. "So anyways, let's get down to the nitty gritty..."
Yumm! I love mole. My mom makes it a little bit more watery but she also shreds the chicken like in your picture.
My dad also sports a stache similar to your mustachio. Lol Nowadays any holiday is an excuse to party & drink. Just like everyone seems to be Irish on St. Pattys day. Am I right or am I right?
